Open-air market with 200+ vendors: farmers, artists, food trucks, and live music. The pavilion roof keeps it running rain or shine. April through November.
The classic Chattanooga overlook. 0.5-mile walk to the point with a sweeping view of the river gorge. Connect to the Cumberland Trail for a longer hike. Free parking at the trailhead.
May weather is prime — temps in the 70s, low humidity. Bring water on every hike; most trailheads don't have fountains. The Riverwalk has Bike Chattanooga stations every mile or so; download the app. Stringers Ridge and Enterprise South are both under 15 minutes from downtown. For kayaking, book weekend rentals ahead — they sell out by Friday afternoon.
