Neighborhoods & What to Expect

Downtown / Riverfront

The heart of the action. Events cluster around Miller Plaza, the Chattanooga Market at First Horizon Pavilion, and the Tennessee Aquarium plaza. Expect street festivals, outdoor concerts, and night markets from spring through fall. Parking is easiest in the Walnut Street Garage or on Chestnut Street.

North Shore

Across the Walnut Street Bridge, North Shore blends boutique shopping with casual dining and live music. Coolidge Park hosts free outdoor concerts and movie nights. The nearby Songbirds Guitar Museum books intimate shows with nationally touring acts.

Southside

Chattanooga's historic Southside has become the city's craft-beer and live-music corridor. Main Street and the surrounding blocks host rotating pop-up markets, brewery tap takeovers, and gallery openings. The Signal and Barrelhouse Ballroom anchor the nightlife scene.

St. Elmo

At the base of Lookout Mountain, St. Elmo is a quieter residential district with a growing restaurant row. The Incline Railway departs from here, and the nearby trails on Lookout Mountain draw hikers and trail runners on weekend mornings.
